Coyote bay! That’s the exact spot I wanted you to stay at…definitely one of my favorite palapas on the sea of Cortez. Keep your eyes open for whale sharks…they are amazing! :-)

Eeek! Awesome stories. Playa del Coyote is where my stepdad lived for six months and the first place I ever visited in Mexico at 15…I learned to drive on those awesome/awful roads!!! Man I’m happy for you guys and keep up the amazing sharing!

Thank you for sharing your travels, the good and the bad. You’re keeping me on the edge of my seat! And Conception Bay looks amazing.

San Felipe was a favorite spot of me and my dad when I was a kid, we camped there several times. I really liked Conception Bay, and Mulege was probably my favorite little town. The banditos sure got me in Mazitlan way back. Sorry you had to go through that. In my mind its best to stay where other people are, preferably a few touristas, security in likish company. I like that rear bumper, twice I had some one ‘rear end’ me, you know, that makes you stop, then anything goes. Had that happen to once in Baja but I was with someone who not only spoke fluent spanish, but they spoke fluent street spanish, and it totally threw the other guy off his game, we gave him a tiny bit of money anyway and sent him on his way…pendejo. Lol, stay safe, enjoy, catch some fish!

Always love your insight, Thom, thanks! Mulege looks super intriguing to us, we plan on spending a chunk of time there on our way back north. We’re off to find spears today for fishing!
